PRAISE!
REPORT
Last 21 July 2008,
we were given the
opportunity to join the
Department of Education's (DepEd)
A1 Child Contest. In
line with DepEd's Nutrition
Month, this contest not only
challenges the intellect and
talent of the student, but
also checks her physical
whole being -- good skin,
perfect teeth, clean hair
and nails, height and weight
appropriate to age, etc.
Our candidate was Khrysthyl
Khyll Loquere, our
Learning-to-Read pupil.
Praise God, she won 2nd
place! This is no
small thing, since this
contest was open to all
public and private schools
in Cebu City. She also
sang "Beautiful" -- a
totally unexpected thing for
the talent category, since
most of the pupils danced
and sang to
the tune of popular songs.
Everybody was quiet as they
listened to her melodious
and child-like voice singing
to our God.
This achievement gives glory
to our God and shows that no
matter how small our school
may be, our students are
able to compete and excel
with other schools in our
city.
