FOUNDATION
Club in Unity for Restoration
thru Empowerment Foundation or C.U.R.E. Foundation is a registered
non-stock, non-profit, non-government, charitable organization and licensed
under the Department of Social Welfare and Development. The foundation is
committed to the welfare and development of the poor communities of Cebu.
Formerly, our registration with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is
Cebu Negative Hansenite Mission Inc. (CNHMI) whose concern during that time
was to help and restore the mental, social, physical welfare of People with
Leprosy (PWL) and People Affected by Leprosy (PAL).
Having understood the various concerns that came up during the 1999 Needs
Assessment Survey of the poor communities of Cebu, CURE Foundation has
enlarge its scope of helping not only the people affected by leprosy disease
but to the indigent and displaced families of Region VII (Central Islands of
the Philippines).
VISION
The Foundation has a vision to see marginalized families, restored and empowered
into socially acceptable, economically-enabled lives in their own community.
MISSION
To meet the holistic needs of man by restoring the person’s spiritual,
emotional, moral, mental, physical and social needs.
These are the Present Programs and Services
1.)Values Formation/Capability Building Seminars – These are conducted to be
able to build up the spiritual, personal and social confidence of individuals
through group interaction and involvement. The result of these training and
capability building has developed the morale and self-esteem of the
participants.
2.)Incoming Generating Program – This is an alternative and sustainable
livelihood project that will help augment the family income and eventually
improve the socio-economic status of the families. Presently we have undertaken
10 families in livestock raising, 10 families involve in micro enterprise and 38
mothers in high speed sewing projects.
3.)Educational Assistance – This is a long term program that provides financial
aid in the formal education to individuals from the poor communities who have
potentials but can not afford to go to school due to economic insufficiency.
Presently we have 25 children under the Early Childhood Development, 2
elementary grade, 16 high school, and 2 college students.
CURE Foundation mainly exist upon donation and contribution from different
Individuals and different Agencies whether government, non-government, and
international organization that would like to venture with us in helping the
marginalized displaced families. Mainly projects concentrate in the Cebu
province.
